Aviation provides a fixed base operation including a terminal building, fuel,
maintenance and repair, storage, charter, rental, and private lessons.

Sidney is served by the east-west Interstate 80, Intercontinental U.S. 385 on a
north-south route, State Highway 19 south, and U.S. Highway 30 going east-west.

by major east-west and north-south routes.

railroads. The main lines of both Union Pacific (east-west) and Burlington
Northern (north-south) Railroads pass through the community. The Sidney & Lowe
Railroad, Sidney's short-line, unites Union Pacific and Burlington Northern,
providing railcar repair service along with car storage and other contracts.
There are 50 UP freight trains daily with an average of eighty cars. The UP
mainline stretches from Seattle to Council Bluffs, IA with national connections.
Burlington Northern averages 10 to 14 trains daily with an average length of 110
to 115 cars.
